• Your answers to the creator workflow questionnaire, including any optional story you submit.
• An interview email only when you separately choose to provide one after submitting the questionnaire.
• Contact details you submit on forms (such as email and name).
• Email text and metadata you choose to analyze (sender, subject, message content, message ID).
• Account data needed for authentication and account management.
• Usage and performance analytics on the marketing site.

2. How We Use Data

• To decide which creator problems are frequent and consequential enough to build for.
• To contact you about a research interview only when you separately opt in.
• To analyze sponsorship-related emails and return deal insights.
• To create and operate your account, including auth-to-database user mapping.
• To provide product updates or onboarding information if you submit forms.
• To improve product quality, reliability, and abuse prevention.

3. Marketing Site Analytics

The marketing site uses Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights. These tools help us understand traffic and performance. They may collect technical and usage information such as page views, device/browser details, and approximate location signals.

4. Creator Research Responses

The questionnaire does not require an account or inbox connection. Structured answers and optional free text are stored with a random response identifier. If you volunteer an email for an interview, it is collected in a separate contact record and used only for this research.

5. Chrome Extension Data Handling

• The extension analyzes email content only when you explicitly trigger analysis.
• Authentication tokens used by the extension are stored in Chrome storage (`chrome.storage.sync`) and removed when expired or on logout.
• Email analysis requests are sent to Clauso backend infrastructure for processing and deal extraction.

6. Service Providers

We use trusted providers to run Clauso, including:

• Clerk (authentication)
• Supabase (database and backend functions)
• Vercel (hosting and analytics)
• Google Analytics (site measurement)

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data only as needed to provide the service, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. When your account is deleted, related records are removed according to our system’s cascading deletion rules and storage policies.

8. Your Choices

• You can choose whether to submit marketing forms.
• You can skip any creator research question and leave the optional story or interview email blank.
• You can disconnect or stop using the extension at any time.
• You can sign out and remove extension auth tokens via the extension popup.
